What we do
The Westend Playgroup is located in the West End of Barry. We pride ourselves on our provision of quality pre-school education for up to 28 children aged between 2 and 5 years, regardless of gender, disability, race, ethnicity, social class or religion. Our priority is the happiness and well-being of children in our care, combined with ensuring we provide a fun and stimulating early years environment.
We are open between 9.00am - 12.55pm, Monday - Friday during school term time, which includes an optional lunch club and school drop-off. Children can be registered to attend between 2 and 5 sessions per week. The cost per playgroup session from September 2025 is £17.00, and lunch club and school drop off is an additional £8.00 per day. paid weekly or in advance (e.g. fortnightly or monthly) if you choose. We are registered with the 30hr funding scheme, Flying Start scheme for 2 year olds, tax-free childcare scheme, and we accept workplace childcare voucher payments.
